He began shooting commercials at a very young age. He has worked around the world with numerous production companies and has amassed hundreds of commercials, music videos, documentaries, and films—many of them award-winning—an experience that has enriched him both professionally and personally. Most recently, he directed the action unit for the film Loving Pablo, based on the life of Pablo Escobar and starring Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.

Alejandro is deeply involved in the preparation and presentation of his treatments. He believes they are a fundamental part of the process and ensures they are discussed in meetings where both the client and the agency gain a clear vision of the film. For him, the shoot is the most creative stage of a production—a chance to explore and enhance certain elements, starting from a commonly agreed vision and a solid foundation.

He doesn’t confine himself to any particular genre; he believes that a good professional should be able to get excited about any project and always strive for fresh ideas. What interests him most is the opportunity to create emotion and tell stories about real people, and to be able to achieve narrative simplicity from any idea. His most recent work reflects this approach.
